As an apprentice with DAC Beachcroft you will be on your way to a career in your chosen area and have a real alternative to university. You will earn a salary and have no university fees to pay. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end; your training will be carefully planned and you will work in a supportive and rewarding team environment.
A legal apprenticeship is a great way to embark on a career in law. Through on-the-job learning (four days a week) and part-time study at BPP, one of the UK’s leading law schools, you’ll learn how to support our clients on live cases. Over two years, you’ll earn a salary and achieve a Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship qualification with no fees to pay. You could have the chance to progress onto the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship scheme too. You’ll need at least three A-levels (96 UCAS points) as well as five GCSEs at grade C (or 4) or above, including English and Maths (or equivalents).

As an apprentice you will have the chance to learn how a legal business operates behind the scenes and develop a wealth of practical and transferrable skills to support your future career. You will need to have at least five GCSEs at A* to C grades, including Maths and English, as well as an interest in your chosen career area. You will also need to have strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and email.

Your skills, training and professional development will be carefully planned and you’ll work in a supportive team environment, learning on-the-job as well as from expert colleagues – including partners. Right from the outset, you’ll be contributing to the success of our firm. As an apprentice, you’ll have one day set aside for study a week (plus up to two revision days before your exams) along with ongoing support from a supervisor, a buddy and our Learning and Development team. They’ll make sure you have technical training and professional development to meet the ever changing requirements of the legal profession.
